Mental Health the definition by the world health organization follows

  • Mental health has intrinsic and instrumental value and is integral to our well-being.

  • Mental health is determined by a complex interplay of individual, social and structural stresses and vulnerabilities.

Concepts in mental health

Mental health is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn well and work well, and contribute to their community. It is an integral component of health and well-being that underpins our individual and collective abilities to make decisions, build relationships and shape the world we live in. Mental health is a basic human right. And it is crucial to personal, community, and socio-eco progression.

So now we have an idea of what mental health is? It is a state of being. In our minds. Our mind is where we think, and make decisions about our lives and others, what we will eat if it will be healthy. In our mind, we choose our lifestyle..... If we go to college and start a family, do we obey the laws of our country, do we vote and support a particular political view or party. Mental Health is the same as physical health. It is mandatory to be healthy in our minds just like our bodies to be productive, content, individuals contributing to OUR community. We take ownership of our town, city, and village. We make up our community and we must successfully contribute to our community environment to live good, fulfilling, lives. We have to be active, and healthy physically to contribute and we have to be healthy mentally to give to OUR choice of area of dwelling. Our brothers and sisters our neighbors, schools, churches, markets, our community. We make it or break it. We cultivate it and plant the seeds and water and feed them so they grow and we nurture and care for the simple core foundations of our society our planned civilization that we call home. A healthy mind is necessary for this to manifest.

So no need to turn your head down or your nose up when mental health is the topic at hand. We all have it. A mental state of being. It's not a mental illness not at all. It's not a healthy mind. No, it's different for everyone. But mental health is such an important factor in our existence as humans that we now have brought attention to the severity of keeping your mental state healthy, growing, and progressing. That means our families, communities, jobs, and well-being progresses and grows. We have to exercise our minds as well as our bodies to be fit. We have to feed our minds and bodies to grow and stay strong. We have to prepare both parts of us as humans to survive on this earth as the good stewards we were called to be, while we are here. So it all starts with our mental health. If you want my opinion. It is our core, our heart, our head, or our mind. It makes us us.

Our goal is to have a healthy happy mind. A sane state of mental capacity. A mind that can reason, understand, grow, and progress in this age. That is where mental health equals a healthy mind and that is how HeadsRUs was born.  Ultimately it is all about our minds ie heads. And our heads as a community. So welcome to HeadsRUs. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to education about mental health, supporting those who live with symptoms of mental health disorders, researching new medications for those disorders, and researching how these disorders affect the persons and their families. Resources for this group of individuals. How to break the prejudice of individuals that overcome the obstacles of living with a mental health disorder. What barriers do they have to overcome what are some solutions to this new topic of study really? How animals and plants can profoundly calm anxiety and panic attacks. Are mental disorders genetically passed down? Are they curable? Can you lose your healthy mind in the drop of a dime? And many other projects that support the growth of knowledge about this topic and learning to live with a disorder and live with dealing with the disorder as a caretaker or loved one. The topic is so vast. It reminds me of our galaxy, outer space, the new frontier. It never ends it just goes on and on and when our galaxy ends another begins. It is unfathomable. There are so many questions. For the healthy and the unhealthy. How did a 25-year-old get a disease out of the blue that is difficult to research because of the specimen of the study? Are they accurate in the statements they give? Do they understand what the Dr is asking of them? It just goes on and on. We are here to discuss our heads weekly. Our goal in the future is to have a living area, facility, or neighborhood for particular individuals that may not have family support, or the caretakers themselves struggle with a lifestyle of caring for a person 24 hours a day. We will have support groups and visitation, service animals, and gardens for our clients to nurture. Our own little neighborhood is equipped with the right staff with a special calling, and training to care for human beings needing a special home that focuses much energy on their mental health. We ask that you join us in our weekly blogs. We want you to grow with us as a new project seeking support from individuals like you. We would like your feedback, questions, thoughts, ideas. We have a lot coming in the months it's especially important to us that you are with us from day one. We want you to see our passion become a reality. We believe we have a purpose on this earth and that our creator is directing our paths to love those that are sometimes unloved. We want to show them His love and the beauty in this world.

Thank you,

Until next time readers........

Jennifer
